Switch 2 is the listed system
Nintendo’s own product page identifies the system as Nintendo Switch 2. The official game hub links to the same platform, and Nintendo Life’s announcement coverage also names Switch 2. Those matching references make the hardware distinction the first thing to settle before purchasing.
The Nintendo page identifies a digital edition published by Future Friends Games. Read the system name on the product page before looking at a price or promotional banner. A familiar game title is not a substitute for checking whether a listing matches your console.
Release date and buying destination
The announced date is October 30, 2026. Both the platform-holder listing and September announcement coverage support that date. The official Nintendo link below is the starting point for checking its current availability in your region.
The official game account also announced a $19.99 US base price across platforms with regional variation. Promotions are separate from the platform confirmation. Check the amount and dates displayed by your Nintendo store before completing a purchase.
TV, tabletop and handheld play
Nintendo lists TV mode, tabletop mode and handheld mode for the Switch 2 edition. It also lists a single-system player count of one. These are the documented play-mode details useful when deciding where and how you want to play.
The adventure is built around a connected island rather than a succession of unrelated arenas. You explore while looking for your missing father and fight the creatures encountered along the way. Endu’s traversal role ties movement through that world to the game’s equipment.
The Steam demo is a separate route
The free demo verified in this research is a Steam application. Its store page describes the opening area, a variety of weapons, the first dungeon and a boss. That is useful preparation material, but the PC installation should be kept separate from the Nintendo product page.
The publisher’s estimate of about one hour refers to that demo. It is not a promised Switch 2 campaign length. Likewise, the full-game equipment catalogue should not be read as a list of everything playable in the opening slice.
A short Nintendo buying checklist
Open the official Nintendo listing and confirm the Switch 2 badge. Read the current release information, regional price and listed play modes before buying. Then use the demo overview or combat guide to understand the adventure without confusing platform availability with gameplay strategy.
